Elizabeth, we meet you today with your lover, Steven Levac. Tell us about your new happiness.
The love I feel for him is incredible. In life, we go through all kinds of things, happy moments and difficult ones. There are also times when we sit on our X with someone, and this is the case with Steven. I hope to spend my life with this man. I really found the rare pearl. People who know our story greet us by calling us “lovers” and telling us that we are beautiful… I feel like I’m living a dream. Cell also involves a lot of work on yourself, because you have to accept being happy, quite simply, and tell yourself that you have the right to this happiness.

What do you like most about Steven?
I trust this human being. He has a great intelligence and he makes me laugh. This is an aspect that has always been important to me, because my father is a very funny person.

The bar was set high, though!
(Laughs) Yes, my father is such an extraordinary person! Steven brings me humor, security and comfort. He understands me and guides me. With his experience, he is able to show me the way, and that’s reassuring for me. It gives me confidence in myself and in my projects.

In what context did you meet him?
We hadn’t planned to fall in love. It was love at first sight. We had a project together: I had to sing a few lines on his song Give me another drink, a single that plays on country radio. Finally, I did the whole song with him. In the studio, watching him sing, I wondered what was going on in my heart… It was immediate. Afterwards, we confided in each other, and he told me that he too felt something. Even our colleagues noticed that something happened between us. We had only known each other for an hour!

It’s magic, though.
Yes, it’s crazy. There really is. We indicated our first year together in mid-June. I knew right away it was him. I had never really met a man like him. He is so charismatic, grounded, comforting, charming. That’s what I noticed first about him. He is a real estate agent, he works hard and is very present for his clients. He also makes music, and it has grown. His songs are playing on the radio, and I accompany him on his shows with the musicians of The Box, who have formed a bandaged country called Ricochet. They are friends of Steven, and I am honored to play with one of bands most popular of the 1980s.

With Steven, you therefore share your passion for music…
Yes, and that’s what binds us. We have a music room with all possible instruments. We often happen to jam together. Being able to share that is really nice.

Finally, it is a stage of renewal for you.
Yes, and I see that you should never give up… I believe a lot in the universe: when we project things, they are refused to us. When we maintain a good energy as well as a positive attitude, beautiful things happen to us, generally by surprise. Most of the time, you couldn’t even suspect how beautiful it could be.

How much in your life as a mother, it always fulfills you to the highest degree?
Hey. William is so handsome and smart! He picks things up quickly. As he started talking, it’s even nicer. I grasp words he says and, thanks to language, we connect differently. Hearing her say little words is so adorable! Even though his personality was already obvious, after he started talking, I pin him down even more. I find him wonderful and I am totally in love with my son. I’m sure he will be a musician… He has rhythm and as soon as I sing him a song, he stops and listens to me. If he is upset, I sing and I see that he reacts to the music. It must be said that with the genetics he inherited, it is quite possible that he will become a musician…

Guillaume turned two in June. Feel that he initiated the period of terrible two?
Surely it hasn’t happened yet. Everyone talks to me about it, the more I don’t feel anything different. If it’s going to happen eventually, like he’s a sweet kid, I’m not worried.

In addition to being a mother, you have set up your music school in recent years…
Initially, I created it to give some lessons during the pandemic, more finally, with all the singers who found themselves without jobs, I added teachers to the team. There are now eight singing teachers, plus percussion, drums, piano and guitar. I am currently looking for bass and guitar teachers. In fact, I didn’t know I was building a school! It bloomed over time. I am very close to my students, they become like friends. The lessons are personalized. I realized once again that it is by following my instincts that things work. I received a lot of advice from my lover.

Besides school, do you have other projects?
Yes, I give shows with a bandaged of girls: the All Star Girl Band. I asked my dad to be on the show with me, and he’s now on my shows. It’s so cool ! I also asked him to be on my other projects. Take part in the Dan Bigras tour and I will present shows with my mother during the holidays.

“My mother taught me to sing, and my father taught me the attitude to have on stage and towards the team and the people”, underlines Elizabeth. They have more than once shared the stage. It is a privilege to be able to share these moments with your parents!
Hey. My mother taught me to sing, my father taught me the attitude to have on stage and towards the team and the people. My parents gave me all their secrets for having a good career. Inviting them to my projects and seeing them react to what I do really touches me. I have the feeling of having reissi, because my parents are proud of me… I also have a superb relationship with my mother-in-law. I have always been close to Marie-Claude, later than ever I William, we talk to each other every day. Our bond is very strong. I see that everyone gathers around William, it’s beautiful to see.
