Alexsandro started training at Flamengo and who in Portugal also wore the shirts of Praiense and Amora, before Chaves, where he only stayed for one season.

“I’m very happy, it’s a dream come true for me and my family. Lille are a great club. I can’t wait to get started,” he told the French emblem’s media.

The president of the ‘Dogues’, Olivier Letang, defended that Alexsandro “is a young player with a lot of potential” and that “despite the interest of many clubs, he chose Lille”.

Chaves also released a communicated:

“Grupo Desportivo de Chaves – Futebol, SAD informs that it has reached an agreement with LOSC Lille, of France, for the permanent transfer of Alexsandro Ribeiro, safeguarding his interests in a future sale.

In the 2021-22 season, Alexsandro played 34 games for GD Chaves, scored 3 goals and was a mainstay for the Trás-os-Montes team when they returned to the Bwin League.

The player’s quality, delivery and willingness impressed, but this man left a mark on all of us.

We wish Alexsandro the best of personal and professional happiness in this new challenge in his career.
