Sadio Mané was introduced on Wednesday as a new player for Bayern Munich, ending his six-year spell at Liverpool. In a press conference, the Senegalese striker explained his decision to leave Anfield to go to the German champions (in exchange for 32 million euros + nine million bonuses).

“I spent six fantastic seasons at Liverpool, but I had won everything. Jurgen Klopp was a bit sad, but he understood my choice. I needed a new challenge, that’s part of football. I I met Julian Nagelsmann (Bayern coach) and I found myself in this team straight away. I am in one of the best clubs in the world and I think we are going to achieve great things”, said Sadio Mané.
