The Disciplinary Council charges Pepe and Tabata

The Disciplinary Board of the Portuguese Football Federation concluded indictment against Pepe and Tabataplayers of FC Porto and Sporting, respectively, regarding the incidents of the classic of the 22nd day of the League.

The news was reported by the Record newspaper and confirmed by the more soccer.

Both footballers were sent off after the final whistle: the Portuguese international is accused of kicking the lions’ sporting director, Hugo Viana, while the Brazilian player is accused of pushing the administrator of Porto SAD Luís Gonçalves, whose charge, of rest, was also deducted.

The Instructors’ Commission charge lists a sentence of two months to two years, which is in line with League regulations. At the time, it will be recalled, Pepe and Tabata served two penalty games as a precaution, while the body carried out investigations.

Now there will be a disciplinary hearing and then both players’ sanctions will be decided – until that final decision they can continue to play. The same situation applies to Luís Gonçalves, although the manager faces a sentence of between three months and three years. Gonçalves, it should be noted, was accused by João Pinheiro, referee of the match, of having entered “the field of play to provoke a conflict with an opponent”.
