THE BALL – Medvedev does not disarm, Tsitsipas eliminated in Miami (Tennis)

Daniil Medvedev has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Miami tournament and is just one victory away from reclaiming the top spot in the ATP rankings.

The Russian, who qualified after a 7-5, 6-1 triumph over American Jenson Brooksby, will now face Polish champion Hubert Hurkacz, who left South African Lloyd Harris on the way.

Also on the way was the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, third seed, surprisingly eliminated by the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.

Australian Nick Kyrgios was also eliminated after losing the duel with Italian Jannik Sinner.
