Benfica lost (34-38) against Félix Toulouse, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the European League, in a match played on Tuesday evening, at the Palais des Sports André-Brouat, in Toulouse (France).
The reds had an excellent first half, having reached the break with a three-goal lead (20-17), but, in the second half, the French team, well supported by their public, returned the text and managed to finish the match with a significant advantage of four goals.
Petar Djordic, with 13 goals, was the game’s top scorer.
The second match of this meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday (7:45 p.m.), at the Pavilhão Fidelidade, in Luz. But before that, Saturday (3:00 p.m.), Benfica will host Boa-Hora, in a duel evoking the 22nd round of the national championship.
