Antero Henrique has been elected as sports director of the Qatar League (QSL-Qatar Stars League).

I believe we can maximize existing resources and work with all stakeholders, especially QSL clubs, to elevate the level of football and strengthen the brand of each competition,” Antero Henrique, 53, was quoted in a statement. communicated by the organization.
The choice was approved by the Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association and aims to “provide high quality competitive football entertainment and achieve new professional standards”.
The Portuguese will lead a team of observers who will provide services and support to Qatari League clubs in observing and hiring professional footballers.
“Antero Henrique was chosen very carefully. We are optimistic about the implementation of the new strategy to transform the League into a world championship level and make it a platform for talented players, coaches and administrators,” said Ahmed Abbassi, Executive Director of the Qatari League.
Antero Henrique, former manager and administrator of FC Porto, was general manager of Paris Saint-Germain between 2017 and 2019.
