Sentinel and Covid units serve population with dengue, zika and chikungunya symptoms
According to the Department of Health (Sesau) of Juazeiro do Norte, units must collect serological tests to identify arboviruses, as well as monitor cases in the municipality.
The Department of Health (Sesau) of Juazeiro do Norte began, this Thursday 3, the follow-up of patients with arboviruses such as dengue, zika and chikungunya in the Sentinela unit, in the district of Centro. This Friday (4), the service should also be carried out at the Covid unit, located in the Lagoa Seca area.
According to Sesau, the units should collect serological tests to identify arboviruses, as well as monitor cases in the municipality.
At the Sentinela Unit, the service is available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., for patients previously referred by the Limoeiro Urgent Care Unit (UPA).
In the Covid Unit, there will be an outpatient service for people with arboviruses, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For patients who have joint pain and need observation, beds are available on site.
Sesau points out that on the third day of the appearance of symptoms of chikungunya, dengue fever or zika, the citizen must seek out one of these units. After the seventh day, the orientation is for people who have received the notification of the case, to go to the Central Laboratory of Juazeiro do Norte (Lacem), to carry out the serology.
